The League of Women Voters
called a Food Policy Summit on October 7th 2010.
They presented their findings from a survey they took over the range of services for local food production, 'ground to ground'. The Summit was to decide on the viability of a Food Policy Council in Clallam County and to find a committee of people willing to set it in action if it was felt that the idea was viable.
The decision taken by the group was to go ahead and trial the Food Policy Council and consequently to select a committee to start the process.
Curtis Beus, Holly Clark, Mark Ozias, Colleen Teevin, Jane Hielman offered their services.
